Shockwave

Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body's natural healing process. It can relieve pain and promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues.

Shockwave is known to be effective in treating:

  • Feet - heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis

  • Elbows - Tennis/Golfer's Elbow

  • Shoulders - injured rotator cuff muscles, frozen shoulder

  • Hands - carpal tunnel

  • Knees - patella tendonitis

  • Back Pain - lumbar/cervical spine regions, chronic muscular pain

  • Sciatica

  • Shin Splints

What to Expect

Treatments typically take around 10-15 minutes to administer. Some patients report feeling immediate pain relief following treatments, however, it is typical to require 3-5 treatments, and for healing to continue to improve for several weeks post-treatment.

Shockwave Therapy uses a machine that involves creating a series of strong energy pulses, directly applied to an injury through the skin via a gel medium.

This treatment is done by a Registered Massage Therpapist.
