No Downtime, Instant Results.

The laser heats the collagen under the skin to specific temperatures which we gauge throughout the treatment to ensure safety and efficacy. This heat produces a natural biological reaction that contracts the collagen and makes it thicker. As the skin is wounded by the heat, the body produces new collagen to heal. This new collagen production causes immediate tightening of the skin, resulting in a tighter and smoother appearance!

The skin will feel and look noticeable tighter immediately following treatment and there is no downtime needed for recovery. The skin will continue tightening over the following months due to the initiation of collagen production. For optimal results, three to six treatments is recommended, scheduled approximately one month apart.

Acne - Why?

Acne is the result of the excess production of sebum, an oil naturally created by the body to moisturize and protect the skin. Too much sebum, mixed with dirt and dead skin cells, can lead to blocked pores. The pores become infected and inflamed, producing red pustules on the face: Acne.

Acne can vary in severity and type. Mild acne can include whiteheads and blackheads, as well as pustules. Cystic and nodular acne are more severe, causing small, painful lumps under the skin, which often leave red marks. Acne commonly appears on the face, but can also appear on the back, neck, shoulders, chest, and buttocks. All types and areas—including any scarring that remains—can be improved with a series of various treatments offered at North Country, one of which is our Gmax Pro laser acne treatment.

GMax Laser Acne Treatment

An effective, painless way to treat both acne and the scars it can cause. By applying GentleMax Pro laser light to the skin, your face, back, chest or other areas can be cleared of acne pustules without the application of harsh creams or ointments. In addition, the laser can smooth your skin, minimizing the appearance of scars, uneven texture, and hyperpigmentation.

How it Works

lasers works by concentrating light, which penetrates the skin, working primarily on the premise of exciting compounds that bacteria produce, called porphyrins. When the laser light excites the porphyrins, it damages the bacterial wall, effectively killing the acne causing bacteria. With less acne bacteria, a reduction of symptoms is experienced. The heat from the laser treatments also reduce sebum levels, resulting in lower incidence and severity of acne. Lastly, the anti-inflammatory effects of laser helps reduce the occurrence and severity of acne as acne is at its root, an inflammatory disease.
