The GentleMax Pro® is considered the gold standard and the newest most effective way to remove unwanted hair, sun and age spots and facial and leg veins. Unlike other lasers, the GentleMax Pro can be used on any skin type.
GentleMax also offers medical and cosmetic procedures including treatments of age spots, sun damage, acne, rosacea, wrinkles and rejuvenation of the skin.
The GentleMax Pro® combines two fast and powerful lasers: the Alexandrite for light skin tones and the nd-YAG for darker skin tones. The lasers work by destroying hair follicles, brown spots and blood vessels through a series of treatments without harming the surrounding skin. This laser also uses a Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™), where cryogen is sprayed onto the skin a fraction of a second before each laser pulse, which provides increased comfort during treatment.

What should i expect during the treatment?
GentleMax delivers light energy in a non-invasive manner to hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously. A specialized cooling pulse reduces discomfort during the treatment. A pulse of light is delivered to an area of the skin. The laser treatment may last a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on how many areas and the size of the area being treated. Lasers can remove hair from all parts of the body including lips, cheeks, legs, arms, underarms, and back.
Is it Painful?
Some patients experience a mild sting or pinch. It can feel like a small snap of a rubber band. No local anesthesia or pain medication is required, however, a topical anesthesia cream may be applied to skin one hour prior to treatment to minimize any pain. A special feature of the GentleMax lasers is the patented cooling system. Immediately before and after each laser pulse, a cryogen spray super-cools the top layer of skin.
How many treatments will i need?
More than one treatment may be necessary depending on the area you wish to have treated. Some factors include hair density, and your own hair’s growth cycle. Age, diet, ethnicity, weight, hormones, medication, and metabolism all may effect your hair’s location, thickness, and resilience.
What precautions or restrictions are expected?
You may return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Sunscreen must be used on any treated areas exposed to the sun and limiting sun exposure is best.
How do i prepare for my treatment?
You may shave the day before. It is not recommended that you wax of pluck hair prior to treatment. However , if you have stop immediately and wait six weeks before having laser for optimal results. Once your treatment series has begun, we urge you to completely stop both waxing and plucking and continue with shaving.
Are there side effects?
Short-term side effects may include redness and swelling around the hair follicle, which indicates that the hair follicle has responded to the treatment. Side effects typically disappear within hours of treatment.
Is it important where I go for Laser Treatments?
Yes! Inadequately trained technicians can cause permanent scarring, hyperpigmentation and disfigurement. Always make sure the person who is performing any laser treatment has the required training and experience as well as the correct laser for your skin type and color.
